According to Ayurveda, the simplest way to lead a healthy life is to follow the ‘Dinacharya’ according to Ayurveda. The first thing you should start practising is waking up before the sunrise. You will feel more motivated and calmer and will have a clear mind all through the day.
Ayurveda says that you will never need medicines if the food that you eat is healthy. The secret of healthy eating is based on your body type. The most appropriate type of food is “sattvic food”.
Eating seasonal fruits and vegetables and having only freshly prepared food is the way to go. It is advised to avoid junk and spicy food with a lot of oil because it slows you down. You should learn more about sattvic food and slowly start incorporating more of them in your diet.
Followers of the Sattvic diet primarily consume nutritious foods, including fresh produce and nuts, which is why this diet leads to a number of health benefits. In short, the Sattvic diet is a high fiber, low fat vegetarian diet. Animal proteins, fried foods, stimulants such as caffeine and white sugar are some of the food items that are excluded when following a Sattvic dietary pattern.
Sweating through “Swedana”, which is the Ayurvedic spa treatment that is a full-body massage which is then followed by a stream.

It is always advisable that you must not eat your food while feeling emotions at extreme levels. It is a fact that when you are preoccupied by intense feelings, you will not be able to concentrate on your food that is served to you.
This could lead to overeating, poor digestion, poor diet or dissatisfaction during and after the meal. You should wait until the emotions subside. You should take your time and then concentrate on the various flavours and textures of your food.
It is always advisable to eat in silence without touching your phone or eating while watching television. Distraction of any kind leads to the distribution of concentration.
Once you start putting all the concentration on your food, you will feel fuller and longer.
According to Ayurveda, the digestive fire of the body is at its peak when the sun is at its highest point in the sky i.e, from about 12 noon to 1 p.m.
The point here is that in comparison to your lunch, your breakfast and dinner should be lighter. Your lunch should have all the six tastes (sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent and astringent).
